Estella: Hair Practice

For this practice, I carried the style out on the doll's head - the main difference with using this compared to my partner is that my partner actually has a full fringe which she is growing out. I have taken this into consideration in my final design, but whilst I practice on the doll I will create the style without the fringe, and instead use waves at the sides. Also, my model has much longer hair, so the style will look much more effective, and will give me room to make it more intricate and elaborate. 

I did not have access to the curlers I will use on the day of the assessment, so I used these straighteners to create the curls instead - I think this actually was harder than using curlers.

I now feel I know the steps and the technique a lot better and the practice was successful, however, I am still not 100% confident because my model's hair is quite different to the doll's head, therefore, my next step is to practice the style on my actual model.
