Victorian Bridal Influences

"Flowers in her romantic half-up do, a lace bodice on her dress, and a cathedral veil that seems to last forever, all of these things are perfect touches to this modern take on the Victorian style."

I really like this modern take on a Victorian style. I think it looks very effective, and in fact, it does not stray very far from the Victorian era. The hair, make-up and dress all suit the time period but yet have a modern twist; whether this be the fact that the model is quite tanned instead of pale (as desirable in the Victorian era), or the simple fact that the backdrop and overall image looks quite contemporary.

This is fairly similar to the design that I was thinking of creating for Miss Havisham because it would be appropriate for the time period that Great Expectations was set in, and it is suitable bridal make-up. However, I would consider making the cheeks more rouge, and I also want to make the look, as a whole, more technical and interesting, so I would add some theatrical ageing, because I imagine Miss Havisham to be a lot older than the model appears in these images.
